Welcome and Gratitude for New Members, Elders, and Deacons

Calvary Presbyterian Church happily welcomes new members, Rebecca Wilson-Legendre and John Stoltzfus into membership through reaffirmation of faith. Rebecca was the

church’s administrative assistant for many years and John has been attending services at Calvary since last summer.

Within the community of Calvary Church, some are called to particular service as elders

and deacons. The following seven members, previously ordained, have been reinstalled to active service: Melissa Merkel, John Wright, Nancy Mantone, and Shirley Stoll to Session, and Carol Allen, Carol DeProspo, and Doris Mallette to the Board of Deacons.

Ordination is Christ’s gift to the church, assuring that his ministry continues among us

through leadership in elders and deacons. 

There are varieties of gifts, but it is the same Spirit who gives them. There are different ways of serving God, but it is the same Lord who is served.
